Thomas Winston has been named president and CEO of the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority by the Port Authority Board of Directors, where he will be tasked with driving growth at Toledo Express (TOL), among other duties.
Winston previously was vice president of administration and chief financial officer for the Port Authority. He succeeds Paul Toth, who served president and CEO for the past 10 years. Toth announced his retirement late last year.
“I am honored to be selected as the next president and CEO of the Port Authority,” says Winston, who joined the Port Authority in 2010. “I am committed to making sure this organization continues to provide the resources and expertise needed to continue to move this community forward.”
TOL is a joint military/civilian airport that currently has two commercial carriers, Allegiant Airlines and American Airlines, primarily serving Florida, Chicago and Charlotte, NC. In his new role Winston will also oversee Toledo Executive Airport.
