XpresSpa MSP Airport LLC has won the contract to develop an airport wellness center at Minneapolis-St. Paul International (MSP).
The 5,000-sq.-ft. center will include a hair salon, spa, health clinic and pharmacy, and be located at the entrance to Concourse D at MSP’s Lindbergh Terminal.
“The wellness center will provide important services to travelers and strengthen Minneapolis-St. Paul International’s reputation as a national leader in airport amenities,” says Jeff Hamiel, executive director of the Metropolitan Airports Commission.
The spa will offer haircuts and styling, waxing, massages manicures and pedicures, as well as other services.
“XpresSpa is proud to partner with Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. We applaud their initiative in identifying important services for travelers and dedicating the space for these services,” says XpresSpa President Marisol Binn.
In addition to the spa, an onsite health clinic will offer care similar to that of walk-in clinics such as those found at pharmacies and department stores. There will be private exam rooms and a full-service pharmacy. Health care services will be provided through an agreement with AirportMD.
Construction of the wellness center will begin this summer, and it should be open to travelers by the fall.
