YHZ Gets In The Holiday Spirit

In preparation for the holiday season, Halifax Stanfield International (YHZ) has various seasonal events going on this month.

Throughout the month, travelers will be entertained by music and caroling in the main lobby of the terminal building.

In addition, Trim a Tree for Charity will be at the airport again this year. Eleven organizations from the airport community form groups and decorate a tree to support their favorite charity. Photos of all the trees are on YHZ’s Facebook page, where people can vote for their favorite. The winning team will get a donation made to their chosen charity by the Halifax International Airport Authority. Voting closes on Dec. 15.

Finally, the airport will offer free gift wrapping in post-security for domestic travelers going to a nonstop destination. The service will be provided from Dec. 19-23 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Donations for Feed Nova Scotia will be collected at the gift-wrapping station.
