Grab, HMSHost Expand Partnership to More Airports

Airport e-commerce platform Grab is expanding its partnership with travel dining leader HMSHost to bring contactless order and pay technology solutions to eight additional airports.

HMSHost recently added its portfolio of restaurants at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to the Grab marketplace.

The two companies said by year end Grab‘s marketplace offering will further expand with HMSHost at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International (MSP), New York LaGuardia (LGA), Tampa International (TPA), Montréal-Trudeau International (YUL), Miami International (MIA), Boston Logan International (BOS) and Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS) airports.

“We’re glad to be partnering with one of the world’s leading airport restauranteurs to expand contactless order and pay solutions for guests,” said Jeff Livney, chief experience officer at Grab. “These services are particularly important in the current climate, where reassuring travelers is our priority.”

Some of the HMSHost restaurants that will feature the new Grab touchless ordering and pay service include Chili’s, P. F. Chang’s, Pei Wei, Shake Shack and Shula’s Steak House.

“Expansion in more airports with Grab creates meaningful change and opportunity to position us to meet those challenges,” said Joe Thornton, HMSHost executive vice president and chief operating officer. “We are thrilled to grow our partnership with Grab and further our commitment to safeguard traveling passengers.”
